To all those who find being just another cog in the Codex Astartes smurf wagon, enjoy yourselves. Seriously, just enjoy yourselves.
I'll have to see how things go. 40K has just ended up on the shelf. Fortunately I have my KR Multicase coupon from NOVA, so I can start dealing with overflow of Dust Tactics models in a better way when they come off the shelf to be played and make room for 40k.

The most common refrain from the GW apologists for the massive changes apparently coming to the Black Templar is the title along with "... because all Marines lost that since 4th Edition." Let me blunt, they are stupid, morons, idiots & arseholes with the addition of various Anglo-Saxon derogatory four letter words added for additional emphasis..
True, 40k Radio may be not have the final print copy they claim and GW might have removed its collective head from its rear, but these are the issues being justified by that false to fact excuse. I've known the list was quirky on reliability, but RL kept me from getting the 2/3 of the testing I'd planned this spring. Short story, the list stank. Biggest broken part, it required the fliers to come in on turn 2 or Bad Things Happened (TM), but even then, it was substandard, especially with the changes (improvements) to NOVA scenarios and scoring this year. The change to a Battle Point system plus the halfway conversion to unified ("Cumulative") scenarios plus the downgrading of Quarters made for what I consider a superior tournament scoring system.
I ended up 2-4, with the second win coming by forfeit, but after having seen the list, I don't mind claiming the forfeit as a win since it required long runs by mainly foot Chaos Demons to get into CC and nothing flying in the list, which meant it was something the list was optimized towards with low (5++) saves as the majority. So, I'm going to take a seminar or three today for my education. More later. |
